Welcome to Dombish.com
where I redefine financial advising.
I’m not your typical financial advisor
While I do work with individuals and families, I prefer to shine when partnering with small business owners.
My mission is to help entrepreneurs realise that their business is not just a source of income, but a valuable investment. This investment forms a crucial part of their retirement and investment plan. It’s an asset that can be nurtured, safeguarded, leveraged, and transitioned into a retirement fund when the time is right.
I specialise with business owners who have teams of 5-20, or revenue under $10m, moving them from entrepreneur to investor. In collaboration with their other professionals, we develop their biggest asset ready for retirement. This is how you build wealth for your future, today. We sort the wealth building at one end, while putting the spotlight on your business value at the other, all-the-while protecting against your financial risks on the way through. Build Wealth + Maximise Business Value + Manage Financial Risk. (And) I have that all wrapped up in a platform called Your Business IS Your Asset. It is your business. You get to Exit your business when you want, How you want, for the Amount you want.
I am licensed by the FMA to give advice in two keys areas of financial services. I can give dedicated/ personalised financial advice on both "the insurance of the body" (life, health, key person & business risk) and investments (such as KiwiSaver). I have an MBA that qualifies me to talk about the business value parts of the Platform. In the MBA I specialised in financial risk management and international business. My thesis was on M&A (mergers & acquisitions) in NZ; looking at international best practise and interviewing local operators to create a model that maximised the transaction value of M&A deals.
I deal with the top life and health insurance providers and first-class KiwiSaver schemes in NZ. Such as AIA, Partners Life and Fidelity, Generate & NZ Funds. I am also part of the My Solutions group of advice firms for collective advocacy within the industry, BNI for a range of networking professionals and Business North Harbour, one of the largest business associations in NZ.
For many entrepreneurs, the question is “How do I exit my business, in the manner I want to, when I want to, for the price I want?” Together, we’ll bridge those gaps.
Feel free to join me on my webinar, click on the links, or send me a message. Whatever you need to feel comfortable starting a conversation.
Welcome - let’s secure your financial future together.

Business For Good
There is a different way to do business
Stakeholder Capitalism, Corporate Social Responsibility, Purpose-lead business, intentional business...
All these strategies have one thing in common. They do not believe in a purely profit-only motive for business.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. I think No.8 and No.10 are apt
A small thing we do at Bolster Risk Management is to support MND NZ (motor neurone disease) with every new policy we get issued.

Your Business
Is Your Asset
3 Principles to Maximise
the Return on Your Investment
I specialise in business owners viewing their business as an investment asset. I focus on 3 core principles; protecting against risk, finding value & building wealth.
I've been in financial services for over eleven years, outside of this I've managed teams in different sectors for 20 years. I got my MBA ten years ago, writing my thesis on M&A (mergers & acquisition) value maximisation for small business in NZ.

The Podcast
I'm discussing small business in New Zealand, especially looking at business from the perspective of an investment asset, for the owners. Why? We have many small firms here in NZ and while many people seem to believe that residential property is the main investment asset class, 'small business' is an often overlooked category. Somewhere around 95-97% of all firms in New Zealand are classed as small, so we have a lot of them. People build their businesses, hopefully sell for a good amount around retirement age, and have a good life... Or that is the dream at least...

people deserve financial peace of mind
Sounds like a lofty goal, but people deserve financial peace don't they? I don't want to worry about money. I don't want my wife or children to worry in the same way that I did growing up. I don't want my team to worry about it, and I don't want our clients to be disturbed by money. Financial Peace of Mind is having some security, some comfort, dare I say even some serenity, about our financial position, whatever level that is, or whatever means for us.
